Emmaus baseball is stinging the competition

Every year Emmaus baseball coach John Schreiner plays possum and says his team is worse than they are, and most years they end up in the mix for both the LVC and District titles. This season he has a group of seasoned upper classmen who have played many years together and are seeing the fruits of their labor. After yesterday's 5-1 win over CB East, Emmaus is 9-0 overall, and at 6-0, the only undefeated team left in the LVC.  They'll be tested again on Monday, as they face a tough non-league opponent in Scranton Prep at Church Lane Fields in Trexlertown.  Schreiner says everything has been coming together nicely, as his starting pitching isn't giving up many runs, his defense isn't committing many errors, and his  hitting is driving in a bunch of runs.  Emmaus has put up some gaudy numbers, outscoring their opponents, 66-15.
