HS RUNDOWN: Becahi, Liberty, Dieruff win rivalry games

HS RUNDOWN: Becahi, Liberty, Dieruff win rivalry games

Bethlehem Catholic, Liberty and Dieruff each earned wins in their annual rivalry games on Saturday.

Becahi beat Central Catholic 33-13 at Frank Banko Field/BASD Stadium.

The win earns Beca the No. 2 seed in the District 11 3A tournament, where they'll host Lehighton in round one.

Liberty beat Freedom 25-7 at BASD Stadium to improve to 5-5 and clinch a Eastern Conference playoff berth.

Dieruff beat Allen 31-0 at J. Birney Crum Stadium to finish the year at 5-5.

That's Dieruff's first season finishing as high as .500 since 2002.
