Lanscek's ouster was Becahi's choice

Bill Lanscek's surprising departure as Bethlehem Catholic's girls basketball coach was the school administration's choice.

Athletic Director Mike Grasso confirmed on Tuesday that the school "decided to go in a different direction."

Lanscek was surprised and upset by the move.

Lanscek led the Golden Hawks to the LVC and District 11 titles this year, as well as a trip to the PIAA 3A girls state championship game last season.
