Notre Dame girls win while Nazareth falls

The Notre Dame girls were the only team to win from District 11 Tuesday night, beating Neumann-Goretti in double overtime 51-49. Nazareth's girls weren't as fortunate, falling to Dover Area.

Notre Dame survived double overtime thanks to Lexi McGivern's 17 points and two clutch free throws at the end of the second overtime.  The win puts the Crusaders into the state quarterfinals against St. Basil Academy on Friday.

Nazareth wasn't as fortunate, falling to Dover Area 42-38 in their second round game.  The loss ends the season for the LVC and District 11 champs.
