Parkland and Bangor win league softball titles

The Parkland and Bangor softball teams won their league titles at Pates Park Thursday night. Parkland beat Emmaus 1-0, Bangor edged Pen Argyl 7-5.

Parkland won the LVC title by scoring the game's only run in the bottom of the 7th inning on a ground ball to third.  The runner slid home and the ball rolled away from the Emmaus catcher.  As a result, the Trojans earn the 1-0 win.

Bangor had more offense in a Colonial League championship game win.  The Slaters scored 7 runs to beat top seed Pen Argyl and claim another league crown.
