Parkland falls, Notre Dame wins in PIAA Baseball openers

The Parkland Trojans suffered the same fate in round one of the state tournament as last year. Notre Dame fared better, the Crusaders won and now move on to round two.

Notre Dame earned a 6-5 win over Springfield Montco in round one, coming from behind in the late innings to get the victory.  Zach Luke had a big day offensively with a pair of run scoring hits and 4 RBI's in the 6-5 win.

Parkland fell in the opening round for a second straight season, this time to Spring-Ford.  The Rams scored two runs off Gabe Mosser and Parkland could never pull even.  Mistakes plagued the Trojans who see their season end after winning LVC and District 11 titles.
