Parkland hoping to defend District 11 title

The Parkland baseball team is anxious to begin its District 11 title defense.

Last year, the Trojans lost to Whitehall 5-2 in the LVC Championship, but then bounced back to beat the Zephyrs by that same 5-2 score in the District 11 title game.

This year, the Trojans return a solid core from that team, including a number of key pitchers.

Parkland is also battling with weather-related issues.  Thanks to postponements, the Trojans will play four games in five days starting on Saturday.
