Phillipsburg returning plenty of talent this season

Phillipsburg returning plenty of talent this season

The Phillipsburg football team returned to the top of the state last season. Ryan Ditze and the Stateliners won a state championship in their group, their first since he took over the program a couple of seasons ago. Now, their goal to defend that title. The Stateliners appear to be equipped to give it another run this year. They return a lot of the key guys from last year, including their workhorse Joe Maso who ran for over 1500 yards last season. They do have to replace quarterback Tyler Troxell, and that won't be easy, but the Stateliners are confident they can fill the holes and be a playoff team again.
