Spartan girls beat Bangor in league showdown

The Southern Lehigh girls beat another potential Colonial League playoff team Thursday, holding off Bangor 39-29.

The Spartans held leads after the first and second quarters behind some hot shooting from Melann Amory.  However, they saw that lead evaporate in the third quarter as Bangor rallied for a 22-21 lead.   The Spartans proceeded to outscore Bangor 18-7 the rest of the way to earn the victory and keep themselves at the top of their division in the Colonial League.
