Spring-Ford settles for silver in PIAA state final

The Spring-Ford girls' quest to repeat as state champions came up short Friday night.

The Rams suffered a 49-30 loss to Cumberland Valley in the PIAA 4A state title game at the Giant Center in Hershey.

Spring-Ford had beaten Cumberland Valley in last year's state championship game, and also during the regular season.

The Rams' senior class graduates with 109 career victories.
