The IronPigs staged an 8th inning rally to earn a 5-2 win over the Braves on Sunday, but saw infielder Freddy Galvis suffer a potentially serious injury.

Galvis collided with Maikel Franco and the tarp while chasing a foul ball, and had to leave the game with what is reportedly a broken clavicle.

The injury could require surgery, which would sideline Galvis for the bulk of this season.

The rest of the game went well for the IronPigs.

Ronny Cedeno's bases loaded double broke open a 2-2 tie in the 8th inning on Sunday, paving the way for a 5-2 IronPigs win over the Braves at Coca-Cola Park.

Steve Susdorf had tied the game at 2-2 with an RBI single earlier in the 8th.  Then Cedeno hit a three-run double to put the game away.

Former IronPig Steven Lerud hit a two-run home run in the seventh to give Gwinnett a 2-1 lead.

Phillies top prospect Maikel Franco got the scoring started with an RBI single in the first.

Cesar Jimenez (2-1, 2.29) picked up the win in relief after Sean O'Sullivan had pitched seven strong innings.

Justin De Fratus earned a clean save after the bullpen had blown back-to-back 9th-inning leads in the first two games of this series.

The IronPigs (18-18) will wrap up their series with the Braves in a Monday morning game at 10:35am at Coca-Cola Park.
