Lehigh held off Lafayette 71-68 at Stabler Arena Saturday night in the first meeting of the year between the two rivals.

Lehigh used strong inside play to assert itself, with post players Tim Kempton and Justin Goldsborough each scoring a game-high 19 points.

Lafayette led by one point at the half and had a chance to tie it at the end.  But Bryce Scott's three-point attempt at the buzzer bounced off the rim.

Lehigh improves to 3-5 in Patriot League play with the win.  The Leopards fall to 0-8.
