Lehigh Valley stays alive at Carpenter Cup; 3rd game postponed

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Lehigh Valley Carpenter Cup softball team won two elimination games Wednesday in the Carpenter Cup at FDR Park in Philadelphia.

The team downed Philadelphia Catholic, 2-1, in the morning.

Lehigh Valley followed that up with a 15-0 rout of the Suburban One/Bicentennial team in the afternoon.

The team secured a top-5 finish in the tournament, advancing to a 3rd game Wednesday night against Delco West.

That game did get started with Lehigh Valley building a 4-0 lead in the 2nd inning before storms rolled through, forcing the game to be postponed to Thursday morning at 9:00.
