Bootcheck impresses in debut, leads IronPigs past Toledo

On a day where IronPig call-up David Buchanan won his Phillies debut, minor league veteran Chris Bootcheck tossed five shutout innings to win his IronPigs debut at Coca-Cola Park.

Bootcheck struck out three and earned the win as the IronPigs beat Toledo, 1-0.

The 'Pigs only run came on a bang-bang play at the plate in the fourth inning.

Andres Blanco barely beat the tag at home on an Addison Maruszak ground ball to second.

After dropping the first two games of the series, the IronPigs (25-23) will look to salvage a split with the Mud Hens on Sunday at 1:35pm at Coca-Cola Park.
