IronPigs drop series opener in Rochester

The Red Wings doubled up the IronPigs 12-6 Friday night in their series opener at Rochester.

The 'Pigs led 6-2 heading into the 6th inning, only to get outscored 10-0 over the next three innings.

The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for the IronPigs.

Hector Neris (2-1, 6.14) gave up six earned runs in just over one inning of relief to take the loss on the mound.

Maikel Franco had a double, a triple, and three RBIs for the IronPigs, while Grady Sizemore added three hits.

The IronPigs (42-45) will wrap up their two-game series with the Red Wings on Saturday at 7:05pm in Rochester.
