IronPigs losing streak reaches five

The Buffalo Bisons blanked the IronPigs 5-0 at Coca-Cola Park Saturday night, stretching the 'Pigs losing streak to five straight games.

George Kottaras delivered the big blow, hitting a three-run home run off of Greg Smith in the seventh inning.

Smith (8-10, 4.52) took a shutout into the seventh inning, but was victimized by a lack of run support in the loss.

The 'Pigs left nine runners on base and went 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position.

The IronPigs (58-70) will look to avoid the sweep when they wrap up their weekend series with Buffalo on Sunday at 5:35pm at Coca-Cola Park.
