Murphy's home run lifts IronPigs over Buffalo

Jim Murphy hit a ninth inning home run to a break a 1-1 tie and give the IronPigs a 2-1 win in their series opener at Buffalo on Saturday.

Steve Susdorf hit an RBI single to account for the IronPigs other run.

Darin Ruf went 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Kenny Giles (2-0, 2.25) earned the win in relief, while Cesar Jimenez picked up his second save.

The 'Pigs improve to 12-5 in their last 17 games with the win.

The IronPigs (23-19) will play game two of the four-game series with the Bisons on Sunday at 1:05pm.
