Biddle roughed up in Fightin Phils loss

Top pitching prospect Jesse Biddle failed to make it out of the first inning Tuesday night in a 6-3 loss at Binghamton.

Biddle (4-10, 3.51) gave up four earned runs on three hits and walked three before being lifted with two outs in the first.

Maikel Franco, the Phillies top position prospect, was once again a bright spot.

Franco went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, raising his batting average to .379.

Reading (43-58) will close out its road trip Wednesday night with a 6:35pm game against the B-Mets.
