Fightin Phils split doubleheader with New Hampshire

The Reading Fightin Phils split a day-night doubleheader with New Hampshire in Baseballtown on Saturday.

The Fightin Phils won game one 4-2, before dropping the nightcap 3-1 in 10 innings.

Maikel Franco hit a two-run home run - his 30th of the season - to pace Reading's offense in game one.

Zach Collier and Kelly Dugan each added an RBI.

Hector Neris (4-4, 4.48) earned the win in relief.

In game two, Albright grad Casey Lawrence pitched five strong innings for New Hampshire, holding the Fightin Phils to just one run.

Adam Loewen's two-run double in the 10th inning won it for the Fisher Cats.

Tyler Knigge (3-3, 4.68) suffered the loss on the mound for the Fightins.

Reading (57-76) will wrap up its series with New Hampshire on Sunday at 1:35pm at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Roy Halladay will pitch for the Fightin Phils in a rehab start for the Phillies.
