Hernandez to play center field in Reading

Hernandez to play center field in Reading this week

With Ben Revere out with a broken foot, could Cesar Hernandez be the Phillies answer in center field?

The Phillies have decided to pull Cesar Hernandez from Wednesday's Triple-A All-Star Game, and instead, send him to Reading to play center field this week.

Hernandez is a second baseman by trade, but the Phils have been trying him out in center field lately with the IronPigs.

And with Revere now out, it appears the Phils want to see how quickly Hernandez will be ready to play in center.

Hernandez is expected to play center in Reading for the rest of the Fightin Phils current homestand, which ends on Wednesday.
