Reading falls in 9th inning, losing streak reaches 11

Portland scored a run in the 9th inning to earn a 4-3 win over the Fightin Phils Saturday night in Baseballtown, extending Reading's losing streak to 11 consecutive games.

The Fightin Phils battled back from a 3-0 deficit to tie the game at 3-3 before surrendering the winning run in the 9th.

The Sea Dogs' runs came on four solo home runs.  Aaron Altherr homered for Reading.

Seth Rosin (1-2, 1.80) took the loss in relief for the Fightin Phils.

Reading (33-44) will look to snap its losing streak when it wraps up its series with Portland on Sunday at 1:35pm at FirstEnergy Stadium.
