Reading falls to Portland, losing streak reaches 12

The Reading Fightin Phils losing streak reached 12 straight games on Sunday with a 13-9 loss to the Portland Sea Dogs in Baseballtown.

The Fightins gave up 12 runs in the first four innings of the game.

Ryan Demmin (1-2, 10.00) gave up 10 earned runs in just three innings of the work.

Reading hit five home runs in the game, including two each by Jake Fox and Kelly Dugan. 

Fox drove in five runs while Dugan drove in three.  Edgar Duran also homered for the Fightin Phils.

Reading (33-45) will try to finally snap its losing streak when it opens a four-game series with New Hampshire Monday night at 7:05pm at FirstEnergy Stadium.
