Phillies quiet at trade deadline

Ruben Amaro keeps current team intact

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Phillies General Manager Ruben Amaro made no moves prior to Thursday's MLB trade deadline.

Trade assets Antonio Bastardo, A.J. Burnett, Marlon Byrd and Jonathan Papelbon will be in a Phillies uniform when the team begins a four-game series in Washington Thursday night.

Amaro said he was surprised that other GMs didn't pursue his players more aggressively. He also said that he wasn't asking for any top prospects in return.

Philadelphia sits in last place in the National League East. They are 47-61.
