Lehigh beat Monmouth 28-25 in its first road game of the year on Saturday.

Facing 4th-and-4 from its own 14, senior Tim Divers’ punt was blocked by Bethlehem Catholic grad Tevrin Brandon.

But Zach Hayden grabbed the loose ball for Lehigh and rumbled 37 yards to midfield for a first down.

Two plays later, senior quarterback Brandon Bialkowski hit Lee Kurfis on a post pattern for a 40 yard touchdown that went down as the game-winner.

For the second straight week, Bialkowski threw for over 350 yards and Kurfis tallied over 200 receiving yards.

Bialkowski threw for 375 yards and three touchdowns, while Kurfis 10 catches for 213 yards and four touchdowns.

Kurfis is the first Lehigh receiver ever to have back-to-back 200 yard receiving games.

Keith Sherman totaled 107 yards on 14 carries on the ground, as the Mountain Hawks improved to 2-0.

Patriot League member Fordham continued its surprising start.
