NDGP baseball holds off Pen Argyl in thriller

NDGP gets out to big lead, holds off...

BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The Colonial League West leading Notre Dame Green Pond baseball team held off Pen Argyl, 8-7, on Tuesday afternoon in a league contest.

Shane Beyer ripped a 2-run double as part of a 5-run opening frame for Notre Dame. Ben Gormley drove a run in on a single as well.

But Pen Argyl didn't go down lightly. Alejandro Santiago drilled a 2-run homer in the 3rd to make it 5-2.

Peter Tocket's 2-RBI single made it a one-run game in the 4th.

But the Crusaders held off the Green Knights from there to pick up the win.
