Donovan McNabb retires as an Eagle

The Eagles have embarked upon a new era this summer, the Chip Kelly era.  That doesn't mean they've forgotten about the success they've enjoyed in the not too distant past.   Today, the eagles welcomed back Donovan McNabb to retire as an Eagle. Jeffrey Lurie and a few of McNabb's former teammates talked about the player he was in Eagles' green for 11 seasons.  Then McNabb spoke about his career and his retirement.  The Eagles and Lurie also announced at today's event that they will be retiring McNabb's number 5 and honoring McNabb in September.
