EAGLES CAMP: Secondary eager to prove itself

Brandon Boykin leads a hungry Eagles secondary into 2014

Eagles secondary eager to improve

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Brandon Boykin and the Eagles secondary want to be more consistent this year. They've come into camp hungry and motivated, eager to prove that they are better than what last year's numbers indicate.

Philadelphia forced the third-most turnovers in the league last year with 31. Boykin was responsible for 6 of those himself.

But the Eagles were still the worst pass defense in the NFL, winning 7 of their last 8 games in the regular season due to their offense and timely takeaways.

Boykin says he'd like to see the turnover numbers up there again. But, he'd like to see improvement in total defense. He's confident that the secondary has the talent to help that cause this season.
