Palisades primed to best historic season

KINTNERSVILLE, Pa. - Palisades football experienced a season for the record books in 2017. The Pirates completed a perfect Colonial League season, won the program's first CL outright title, won the District 11 3A crown, and made a run in the PIAA tournament.

The team is set to do it all over again, and potentially more, in 2018.

The team features most of the players from last year's team including quarterback Ethan Brader and running back Trey Gretzinger.

Head coach Kevin Ronalds had high praise for his team.

"Our expectations for the first two weeks are just to see a great effort on every play, every rep, every day in practice," he said. "Those kids really push each other. They really bought into it and they know the difference and that carries over to the season, how we practice, how we play. The younger kids see the older kids do it and it just repeats itself every year and that's been nice..."
