The Parkland wrestling team issued an impressive season opening statement Wednesday night.
The Trojans posted a convincing 42-17 home win over perennial power Easton in their LVC dual meet season opener.
The Red Rovers built a 17-9 lead, only to see Parkland win the last nine bouts of the match.
The Haddad brothers (Nezar and Omar) and the Lizak brothers (Ethan and Jacob) all had pins for Parkland.
The match was a rematch of last year's District 11 3A championship match, which was won by Easton.
Parkland is ranked No. 2 in the state in the preseason 3A rankings.
