Phantoms clinch playoff berth

LV falls 5-4 in overtime to Bruins

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Lehigh Valley Phantoms fell to the Providence Bruins 5-4 on the road on Friday night, but clinched a playoff berth in the Calder Cup Playoffs in the process. Earning one standings point couple with a regulation loss by the Bridgeport Sound Tigers led the LV securing a spot in the postseason.

With the overtime decision, the Phantoms are now on a six-game point streak.

The two teams battle again on Saturday night at the Dunin' Donuts Center, the home of the Providence Bruins.
