Phillies edge Yanks, 7-6

TAMPA, Fla. - The Philadelphia Phillies defeated the New York Yankees 7-6 in a spring training game at George M. Steinbrenner Field on Thursday afternoon. Philly improved to 6-8 this preseason with the win while New York fell to 10-3.

Despite the high scoring affair, the game was scoreless through the first three innings.

Adam Morgan earned the win on the mound for the Phillies. He pitched two innings with two strikeouts and one hit.

Ryan Flaherty was 1-2 with two RBIs for the Phillies in the game.
