Royals lose in rout in Florida

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Reading Royals fell 6-1 to the Jacksonville Icemen at the Veterans Memorial Arena on Friday night. Reading's lone goal came in the latter stages of the third period by way of Ryan Penny.

The Royals used both Branden Komm and Mark Dekanich in the goal, who combined to give up six goals and made 20 combined saves.

Jacksonville scored three goals in 83 seconds in the early part of the game as the Icemen led 5-0 at the first intermission.

The Royals visit Orlando on Sunday to finish a three-game swing in the Sunshine State.
