Southern Lehigh girls have put together dominant, record-breaking regular season

CENTER VALLEY - The Southern Lehigh girls close out the regular season with games at home against Salisbury Tuesday and at Cardinal O'Hara tomorrow Wednesday night.  The Lady Spartans head into these final two with a perfect 20-0 record and are winning by an average of almost 30 points per game.

Just how dominant is that?

With Saturday's 59-27 win over Moravian Academy, Southern Lehigh set a new Colonial League record with 47 straight victories.  And Matt Cooper has a gaudy 53-1 Colonial League record in his three years at the helm.

As the top seed, Southern gets a first round bye in the Colonial League playoffs and after Wednesday, won't play again until next Tuesday.

But, they're looking forward to playing for a few titles and making a deep run into states.

WFMZ's Dave Lesko has more in the story above.
