Steady rain this morning which can be heavy at times through early this afternoon before tapering back a bit. The rain and drizzle will end in the evening. Most rainfall totals around the area will be around 0.50-1.50" with locally higher amounts expected, especially south and east. Temperatures today will stay in the low 50s with a breeze. Temperatures tonight drop to the mid 40s.

There may still be a shower or two around for Mother's Day on Sunday, but with clouds and breaks of sun. Now with these showers, they may be an isolated thunderstorm mixed in. High temperatures will be much better, reaching the upper 60s. Normal for mid-May is around 70 degrees.

At this point, next week is looking mostly sunny with a warming trend setting up. Monday will be windy and still in the upper 60s. Then upper 70s Tuesday, upper 80s Wednesday, nearly 90 degrees Thursday and back to the low 80s on Friday.

Thursday will be very warm, if not hot, and will feel humid. There will also be a chance for a shower or thunderstorm.
