The new 69News studio is the result of months of careful planning, design, and construction. Our graphics department worked with a nationally known set design group to create a very versatile new look for our newscasts.

In the summer of 2005, construction began on a new 2-story studio building. After the floor, walls, and roof were in place, the entire building (except the floor) was sprayed with a thick coating of sound absorbing material. Installation of the electrical and air handling systems began. In December 2005, the pre-constructed set pieces arrived, and we began carefully mounting them in the studio. Following this, we installed lighting, cabling, computer systems, audio and video systems, and finished some additional touch up painting. The rehearsals began after that.
