Our viewers don't want to hear about upper level convergence, the circulation of a mesocyclone or the numerical output data from a skew t log-p. It is imperative to take this technical information and present it to our viewers in a way that is useful (and entertaining to watch!). The ultimate goal of the weather department is to hopefully save lives...therefore, this job is taken very seriously. Here in the Weather Center, the team can also gather the latest advisories, watches, warnings and weather statements. We believe it's all about helping to make our viewers' lives safer. Whether it's telling folks how they need to dress their children the next few days...or, track the latest noreaster' heading up the coast...the Weather Center is a very active place!
