Berks Co - Host Church Rd Bridge Closure

On April 28, 2011, The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced the closure of the Host Church Road Bridge over Mill Creek in Tulpehocken Township, Berks County.

A recent inspection of the Bridge showed increased deterioration to the bridge deck pans. The bridge will remain closed indefinitely.

As a result, Host Church Road will remain closed between PA 419 and Parkside Inn Road.

The bridge had previously been reduced to a single lane.

The Host Church Road Bridge is a steel I-beam bridge built in 1938, and is 33 feet long and 24 feet wide. This area of Host Church Road has an average daily traffic volume of 445 vehicles.
