Chester Co - Pavement Improvement Project

Construction will begin Sunday night (July 29) on a $11 million project to repair and resurface 12 state highways in Chester County.

Among the state highways scheduled for milling and paving are Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue), Business Route 30 (Lincoln Highway), Route 926 (Street Road), and two sections of Route 10.

The weather dependent work schedule for the week is:
Monday through Thursday (July 30-August 2) – One lane will be closed on Route 10 (Limestone Road) between Oxford Borough line and Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) in Lower Oxford, Upper Oxford, West Fallowfield, and Highland townships from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. for milling and paving; and
Monday through Thursday (July 30-August 2) – One lane will be closed on Route 926 (Street Road) between Route 10 (Limestone Road) and Route 796 in Upper Oxford and Londonderry townships from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. for milling.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work zones as crews work during overnight hours to resurface these state highways.

The remaining 10 state highways scheduled for resurfacing under this project are:
· Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between the Route 202 Interchange and Paoli Pike in East Whiteland, Willistown, and Tredyffrin townships;
· Business Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) between Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) and Route 202 Interchange in West Whiteland and East Whiteland townships;
· Whitford Road between Business Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) and Village Avenue in West Whiteland and Uwchlan townships;
· Central Avenue/Cedar Hollow Road between North Valley Road and Cedar Hollow Road in Tredyffrin and Willistown townships;
· Phoenixville Pike between Valley Drive and Pothouse Road in Charlestown and Schuylkill townships;
· Pothouse Road/Valley Park Road between Route 29 (State Road) and Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) in Schuylkill Township;
· Route 10 (Compass Road/Conestoga Avenue) between Route 340 (Old Philadelphia Pike) and Lancaster County line in Honey Brook Borough, West Caln and Honey Brook townships;
· Hopewell Road between Route 322 (Horseshoe Pike) and Route 282 (Creek Road) in East Brandywine Township;
· Little Washington Road between Route 322 (Horseshoe Pike) and Route 282 (Creek Road) in West Brandywine and East Brandywine townships; and
· Chesterville Road/Wickerton Road between the Maryland state line and State Road in Elk, New London, Franklin and London Grove townships.

In addition, crews will install new curb ramps on the following state highways:
· Route 10 (Compass Road/Conestoga Avenue) between Route 340 (Philadelphia Pike) and Route 322 (Horseshoe Pike) in West Caln and Honey Brook townships;
· Little Washington Avenue at Route 322 (Horseshoe Pike) in East Brandywine Township;
· Hopewell Road between Route 322 (Horseshoe Pike) and Trail Crossing in East Brandywine Township;
· Route 29 (Phoenixville Pike) at Pothouse Road in Schuylkill Township;
· Pothouse Road/Valley Park Road between Country Club Road and Whitehorse Road in Schuylkill Township;
· Central Avenue and Cedar Hollow Road between North Valley Road and Vanguard Boulevard in Willistown and Tredyffrin townships;
· Route 926 (Street Road) at Fagg Manor Road in Londonderry Township;
· Route 10 (Limestone Road) between Route 896 and Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) in Upper Oxford and Highland townships;
· Whitford Road between Business Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) and Lori Circle in West Whiteland and Uwchlan townships;
· Business Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) between Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) and the Route 202 Interchange in West Whiteland and East Whiteland townships; and
· Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between the Route 202 Interchange and Paoli Pike in East Whiteland, Willistown, and Tredyffrin townships.

Allan A. Myers, LP, of Worcester, Montgomery County is the general contractor on the $11,039,350 project. The project is financed with 100 percent state funds. All work will be completed by August 2013.
