-Polk Street will be closed on Tuesday, March 31, from 9am-3pm between 3rd Street and 2nd Street for a crane operation.  

-A contractor will be unloading materials on Main Street on Wednesday, April 1, and will need to close a northbound lane just north of Walnut Street between 7am and 9am.

-The City’s Streets Bureau will be working on Macada Road for a few days and will need to close the road between Center Street and Artemis Dr and later between Artemis Dr and Barnesdale Rd between 9am and 3pm (Apr 3).

-PPl will have tree crews on Altonah Rd beginning Wednesday, April 1, and will need to periodically close the road in certain areas for safety.  Otherwise the road will be open with flaggers directing traffic.  They expect to be working on Altonah through most of the week (Apr 3).

-UGI will be working on Main Street for a main replacement beginning Tuesday, March 17, between Ohio Rd and Church St.  They will need to shift traffic and close a lane at times.  Two-way traffic will be maintained.  They will then be working on Church Street between Main St and New St and will need to close a lane for this work.  Together, the work is expected to last 3-4 weeks (Apr 15).

-UGI will be replacing a gas main on Catasauqua Road between Kelchner Rd and Woodmont Dr. beginning March 10 and will need to have a lane closed between 8:30am – 3pm Mon-Fri.  This project is expected to take up to 2 months (May 10).  Flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic.

-The City’s sidewalk repair job on Main St is expected to start on Tuesday, March 17, near the intersection with Church Street.  This work will continue through June moving north on Main St on the east side to Broad Street and then south on Main St along the west side.  There will be times when a travel lane will need to be closed as electrical conduit is installed.  Two-way traffic will be maintained, but be aware of potential delays throughout the project.

-Due to recent inspection results, the High Street Bridge to Hellertown will be closed immediately. Please be aware that due to the prior closing of the Seidersville Road bridge by Northampton County, there will no longer be thru traffic from Ravena Street or High Street. Signs, barricades, etc. have been installed to warn traffic of the closure. The City has been actively pursuing replacement of the High Street Bridge; however, until the replacement, alternate routes shall be taken.
