The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced work will begin Wednesday, Dec. 27, to replace the structurally deficient PA 512/Main Street Bridge over the Brush Meadow Creek in Bangor Borough, Northampton County.

The posted detour will route traffic on Main Street, Ridge Road, Johnsonville Road, and PA 512. There will also a truck detour. The truck detour will utilize PA 191, PA 611, and PA 512. Motorists are advised to allow for extra time and use caution when traveling through the area.

The project is expected to be complete in August 2013. All schedules are weather dependent.
