Starting Wednesday, March 5, Route 13 (Bristol Pike) traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction between Bath Road and Bristol Commerce Drive in Bristol Borough for the reconstruction of the bridge over Otter Creek. One northbound and one southbound travel lane will be maintained on the newly constructed northbound side of the highway. This pattern will remain in place through the end of December.
The work is part of PennDOT’s $36.5 million project to improve four miles of Route 13 (Bristol Pike) in Bucks County. PennDOT is enhancing travel and safety along a 4.3-mile stretch of Route 13 (Bristol Pike) by rehabilitating the deteriorated pavement; rebuilding  bridges;  replacing drainage facilities that date back to the 1940s; building sidewalks for pedestrians; installing medians; removing jug handles; reducing travel speeds; and implementing traffic calming measures.

James D. Morrissey, Inc. of Philadelphia is the general contractor on the $36,527,577 project that is financed with 100 percent federal funds. The entire project is expected to finish in October 2015.
