Butler Avenue will be reduced to one lane at the bridge over the west branch of the Neshaminy Creek in Chalfont Borough, Bucks County, on Friday (Oct. 3) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the setting of new bridge beams.

Route 263 will be reduced to one lane in each direction as part of a new traffic pattern between Meetinghouse Road and Sugar Bottom Road in Warwick Township, Bucks County. Crews will work Tuesday through Thursday (Sept. 29-Oct. 2) to paint new traffic lines and install concrete barriers to shift one lane of traffic in each direction onto the southbound side of the highway. This new pattern will be in place until summer 2015. PennDOT’s contractor will then relocate utilities and reconstruct the northbound side of Route 263.

Motorists will face weekday lane restrictions on Route 252 (Leopard Road/Darby Paoli Road/Bear Hill Road) on Monday through Friday (Sept. 29-Oct. 3) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Chester County, for line painting operations.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that restrictions are planned next week on Route 100 in Douglass Township, and Red Lion Road, Philmont Avenue and Byberry Road in Lower Moreland Township, Montgomery County, for road repairs.

The work schedule is:

·    Monday through Friday (Sept. 29-Oct. 3) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will be a lane restriction on southbound Route 100 between Route 73 (Philadelphia Avenue) and Rick Road;
·    Monday (Sept. 29) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Red Lion Road will be closed between Route 232 (Huntingdon Pike) and Route 63 (Philmont Avenue). During this operation, Red Lion Road motorists will be detoured over Route 63 (Philmont Avenue) and Route 232 (Huntingdon Pike);
·    Tuesday (Sept. 30) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Route 63 (Philmont Avenue) will be closed between Red Lion Road and Pine Road. During this operation, Route 63 (Philmont Avenue) motorists will be detoured over Red Lion Road, Route 232 (Huntingdon Pike) and Byberry Road; and
·    Thursday (Oct. 2) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Byberry Road will be closed between Route 63 (Philmont Avenue) and Pine Road. During this operation, Byberry Road motorists will be detoured over Pine Road and Route 63 (Philmont Avenue).

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the areas. The operations are dependent on the weather.

Weekday travel on northbound Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) will be reduced to one lane next week between Ship Road and Route 113 (Uwchlan Avenue) in Uwchlan Township, Chester County, for road widening. Route 100’s (Pottstown Pike) northbound right lane will be closed Monday through Friday (Sept. 29-Oct. 3) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Drivers are advised to allow more time for travel because slowdowns will occur. The contractor’s schedule is weather dependent.

PECO Energy will restrict Egypt Road between Rittenhouse Road and Shannondell Road in Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County, beginning Monday (Aug. 25) through Friday, Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for gas main installation.

The U.S. Route 202 South off-ramp to Route 401 in East Whiteland Township, Chester County, will be closed and detoured from 8 p.m. Friday (Oct. 3) to 10 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 4) for the realignment of the off-ramp.

During the ramp closure, which is weather dependent, southbound Route 202 traffic will be detoured south to the Route 30 East/Business Route 30 exit, then left onto Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and right onto the ramp to Route 202 North. Motorists will then follow Route 202 North back to the Route 401 exit.

Lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 132 (Street Road) between Willopenn Drive and Route 611 (Easton Road) in Upper Southampton, Warminster and Warrington townships, Bucks County, on Sunday, Sept. 28 through Thursday, Oct. 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. for resurfacing operations. There are no lane restrictions scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays before 7 p.m.

U.S. Route 422 will be restricted to one lane in each direction at the Route 363 (Trooper Road) Interchange in West Norriton and Lower Providence townships, Montgomery County, from Saturday, Sept. 27 through Saturday, Oct. 11 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. for overhead bridge painting.

Realen Valley Forge Greenes Associates will restrict North Gulp Road between U.S. Route 202 (DeKalb Pike) and Warner Road in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, beginning Monday, September 15 for roadway construction and drainage improvements, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced. North Gulph Road will be restricted weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through the end of October.

Motorists will face intermittent weekday traffic restrictions on Bristol Road between Old York Road and Brennan Road in Warminster Township, Bucks County, on Monday (Sept. 29) though Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for utility relocations.

Aqua Pennsylvania will restrict travel on three state roads in Chester County - North High Street and Marshall Street in West Chester Borough and Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) in Schuylkill Township – for the installation of new water mains.
                                   
The work schedule is:

·    On Monday, Sept. 29 and Tuesday, Sept. 30, one lane will be closed on North High Street at East Virginia Avenue  in West Chester Borough from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.;

·    From Monday, Sept. 29 to Friday, Nov. 28, Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) will be closed and detoured between White Horse Road and Kleyona Avenue in Schuylkill Township weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists will be detoured over Route 29 (Main Street), Pothouse Road, White Horse Road, Valley Park Road and Country Club Road; and

·    From Monday, Oct. 6 to Friday, Dec. 5, Marshall Street will be closed and detoured between North High Street and Montgomery Avenue in West Chester Borough and West Goshen Township weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. One posted detour will take traffic from North High Street over Market Street and Montgomery Avenue. A second detour will take vehicles over Montgomery Avenue, Gay Street and North High Street.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for travel through the construction zones.

Aqua Pennsylvania will close Bristol Road in Bensalem Township, Bucks County, and Church Road in Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County, on Weekdays beginning Oct. 6 for water main installations.
The work schedule is:
· Oct. 6 through Dec. 22 – Bristol Road will be closed and detoured between U.S. Route 1 and Neshaminy Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists will be detoured over Neshaminy Boulevard, Rock Hill Road, and Old Lincoln Highway; and
· Oct 6 through Jan. 30, 2015 – Church Road will be closed and detoured between Route 611 (York Road) and Mill Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists will be detoured over Mill Road, New Second Street, Township Line Road, and Route 611 (York Road).
Motorists are advised to allow extra time for travel through the construction zones.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) closed the structurally-deficient Burnt Mill Road Bridge over a branch of the Red Clay Creek in Kennett Township, Chester County, due to structural deterioration.

During the bridge closure, Burnt Mill Road will be detoured over Norway Road and Spring Mill Road. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

The one-span, steel I-beam bridge was built in 1935. It is 16 feet wide and 22 feet long. It carries 519 vehicles a day. The bridge was posted with a weight limit of 12 tons. The structure will remained closed until a project is designed to either repair or replace the bridge.
