If you don't have plans for tonight, make plans for star gazing! The Draconid Meteor Shower occurs this evening, with the best viewing times after sunset once it gets dark. With a new moon ahead on October 13, the sky will be dark enough for viewing. Most of the clouds should hold off until overnight, and temperatures will fall into the low 50's.
An area of low pressure passing to our north will drag a frontal boundary across our region Friday afternoon/evening. With this, Friday will feature more cloud cover along with our next chance for rain. The threat for rain will begin during the mid to late morning hours and last into the afternoon before tapering off in the late afternoon and early evening. Southwesterly flow ahead of the front will allow temperatures on Friday to climb into the upper 70's.
This weekend is shaping up to be very pleasant with some sunshine and temperatures in the 60's. The only catch? Saturday looks to be breezy.
