Local Forecast Discussion

Tonight: Clearing, brisk and cold. Low: 22

Sunday: Mostly sunny, not quite as cold in the afternoon. High: 45

Saturday Night: Increasing clouds with a shower in the area toward daybreak. Low: 31

Saw some sunshine and blue sky during the day on Saturday, but with temps in the 30s, strong winds and a few flurries it felt like winter all day long. Now through the overnight hours look for the winds to diminish as skies clear. This clearing will allow temperatures to fall into the low 20s by daybreak on Sunday, which is pretty cold for late March.

All of this set the region up for a sunnier, less wind day on Sunday. Combine all that with highs topping out in the mid 40s and Sunday will easily be the better day weather-wise this weekend. The clouds will increase again late Sunday night into Monday morning as our next cold front approaches from the west. While the front appears as if it will weaken as it approaches Pennsylvania and New Jersey we're still expecting a few showers, mainly early in the day. Highs on Monday will reach the more seasonable low 50s.
