Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy, brisk, and cold; a couple of snow showers crossing the area. Low: 18
Thursday: Blustery and colder with clouds, some sunshine, and a snow shower around. High: 26
Thursday Night: Clearing and bitterly cold with diminishing winds. Low: 8
As we head through tonight, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with low temperatures falling to around 20 degrees. While there won't be a tremendous amount of activity there will be a couple snow showers passing through the area tonight with little or no accumulation expected.
The upper level trough currently over the Great Lakes will slowly slide off to the east on Thursday and Friday, bringing with it colder, gusty conditions and a few flurries and maybe even a heavier snow shower. On Thursday the flurries and snow showers are possible at anytime, but on Friday they will mainly come later on it the day and at night. High temperatures on Thursday and Friday will only reach the mid 20s, which is warm compared to what's in store for this weekend.
Both days this weekend will be bitterly cold with daytime highs only pushing into the teens and overnight low around or below 0. This will be accompanied by very windy conditions and a few flurries on Saturday. Thankfully those winds will die down a bit and the flurries will come to an end for Sunday when plenty of sunshine will be present.
