Clouds continue to thicken as this week's 2nd round of wintry weather moves closer to our region.

Snow is expected to overspread our area from west to east between 10 p.m. and midnight.

Snow will come down heavy at times before changing to sleet and possibly freezing rain between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Sleet and freezing rain into the morning rush hour will make for a messy and treacherous commute.

A general accumulation of three to six inches of snow and ice is expected through Wednesday with six to 12 inches in the Poconos and one to three inches toward Philadelphia.

Thursday will feature mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 20s.
