Snow drops 1-2 inches in most of region, storm not over yet
The worst seems to be over but the winter weather isn't quite done with our area yet. Tomorrow we'll see much warmer temperatures though.
Snow overspread our area late afternoon and evening Monday. When it arrived, snow was heavy and resulted in near white-out conditions for a short period of time.
Most parts of our area have already picked up 1-2" of snow.
Small additional accumulations are possible as we transition over to sleet and eventually rain.
PLEASE note that all the transition times will be significantly delayed in our northern tier counties, north of Blue Mountain. as a result higher accumulations and more ice is expected in these areas.
For the Philadelphia to Trenton area, this is an all rain event.
For the rest of us, slippery conditions will persist into the overnight hours. After a few morning showers on Tuesday, we will see mostly cloudy skies and windy conditions. High temperatures will top out in the upper 40s.
