An approaching low pressure system will continue to progress eastward overnight bringing us partly to mostly cloudy skies with a couple of showers around at times. The shower activity will linger for a while on Thursday morning before quickly tapering off as the storm system pulls away. Otherwise, look for the cloud cover to break for some sunshine on Thursday with highs in the mid to upper 50s. Friday's high temperatures will soar back into the lower 60s ahead of an approaching cold front. As this boundary slides into the region look for some showers and even a thunderstorm or two to develop in parts of the area on Friday. There will also be a strong southwesterly wind on Friday around 15 to 25 mph with higher gusts at times. Windy and colder conditions will dominate behind the front on Saturday along with times of clouds and sunshine (maybe a rain/snow shower in spots).
