Rain transitioned to snow overnight, but still waiting for the dramatically colder air to settle in. Snow will continue to fall at varying rates before tapering off midday/early afternoon (snow lingers south until later in the afternoon). The best timing for accumulations look to be from daybreak to about noon. A widespread area of 3-6" of snow (see forecast map) is possible for the Berks/Lehigh Valley area. The northern Philadelphia suburbs on south could see 6" or more. Northern Poconos may only see 1-3" of snow.

Bitterly cold air moves in Thursday night and Friday. Through the weekend, partly to mostly sunny skies will dominate with temperatures much closer to normal, the mid 40s!
