***Winter Weather Advisory for Schuylkill, Carbon and Monroe counties through this evening.***

Snow started to fall in Mt. Pocono early Tuesday afternoon. However, the light precipitation took longer to develop over the Berks/Lehigh Valley area. Rain and wet snow from the clipper system will be around into the evening hours before tapering off after 9 pm. Higher elevations and Poconos may end up with a slushy 1-3 inches of snow. The rest of us may see a slushy coating on grassy surfaces. Surface temperatures are expected to drop below 32 degrees overnight. As a result, some black ice and slippery spots are possible.

Clearing skies will move in overnight setting up for a sun-filled Wednesday. Despite the sun, daytime highs will only reach the 40s Wednesday. However, milder air will approach and we expect to reach 60 degrees by Thursday and Friday with some showers Thursday night into Friday.
