Local Forecast Discussion

Today: Some sun followed by clouds, hot and humid this afternoon with a strong t-storm in some places. High: 90

Tonight: Showers and heavy, gusty t-storms around for a while, otherwise; warm and humid overnight. Low: 70

Thursday: A shower or t-storm in spots through morning, then turning less humid; cooler in the afternoon. High: 81 Low: 59

The muggy conditions aren't going anywhere today and will stick around for most of the day on Thursday before the dew points begin to drop. Along with that, look for highs to top out near 90 degrees today with plenty of sunshine for most of the day, especially early on. Later on this afternoon and into tonight skies will cloud up as showers and thunderstorms push in from the west. While we do expect the activity to quiet down at some point later tonight the threat for more showers and thunderstorms will hang with us through Thursday morning and in some case into Thursday afternoon. As is the case with all thunderstorms heavy downpours are possible, but gusty winds are also a concern with this round of storms. Otherwise Thursday will bring rather cloudy skies to the region for most of the day with the possibility of some sun returning to parts of our viewing area (mainly west) by days end. Because of the cloud cover look for highs on Thursday to fall back into the low 80s.
