Local Forecast Discussion

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, breezy and cold. (wet & slushy areas re-freeze) Low: 25

Sunday: Periods of clouds and sun. Mostly cloudy at night with snow arriving. High: 38 Low: 20

Snow accumulations with this last storm system ranged from 4-8 inches for most locations, but there were also some locally higher amounts in spots as well. Breezy and cold conditions will be featured overnight with low temperatures dipping into the middle 20s under mostly cloudy skies. Any wet and slushy surfaces will re-freeze overnight, so please be careful when traveling around. Periods of clouds and sunshine is expected to be the big story on Sunday along with highs topping out in the middle and upper 30s. The cloud cover will begin to increase once again during the evening hours as our next clipper system approaches the region causing skies to turn out mostly cloudy for Sunday night. Another round of accumulating snow will also be possible Sunday night and Monday as the storm system slides by to our south. A general 2-4 inches of snow will be possible for most during this event with the potential for more south (4-6" towards Philly) and less north (1-2" in the Poconos). We are keeping an eye on what happens with this system as it moves off shore and combines with another piece of energy for Monday night into Tuesday. The models vary significantly on the timing, track and intensity on the system during this time period, so please stay tuned to the latest info.
