It's a very COLD and WINDY weekend! An arctic front cleared the area this morning, that means the core of the cold will be rushing down today and tomorrow.
Both days this weekend will be bitterly cold with daytime highs only pushing into the teens and overnight lows near or below zero. This will be accompanied by very windy conditions, which will push wind chills to 10, 20 and possibly even 30 degrees below zero. A few flurries or a brief snow shower are possible today along with clouds and sunny breaks. Tonight, temperatures actually drop below zero degrees and possibly tying or breaking the record of -1 in 1979 (ABE). Then plenty of sunshine for your Valentine's Day.
Monday won't be as cold, but it will still be below average as highs top out in the upper 20s. The skies will be cloudy and by day's end a few flurries and maybe even a period of snow are possible. At this point minor accumulations are expected into Monday night before the temperatures rise and the snow transitions to a period of ice then over to rain for Tuesday. Stay tuned over the weekend for the very latest on the early week storm.
