***Winter Storm Warning for parts of the area***

***Winter Weather Advisory for our southern viewing area***

This morning rain or a rain/snow mix will overspread the region from the south before changing over to all snow. Once this changeover to snow happens that's the precipitation that will primarily occur for the duration of the event (could see brief periods of mixing). Accumulation amounts will range significantly across the area with the heaviest amount to the north and much lighter totals to the south (see the map below). Travel delays will be an issue today especially during the afternoon and evening hours, so plan accordingly. The storm system pulls off to the northeast later this evening allowing some drier conditions to take over. Thanksgiving may feature some lingering flurries early, but it will generally be a dry day with times of clouds and sunshine. Highs on Thursday will be in the mid to upper 30s with a light wind. Friday will be another chilly day across the viewing area with daytime highs once again in the mid to upper 30s under partly sunny skies.
