Rain moves away; stage set for sunny, seasonable Tuesday
The rain will be tapering off from west to east over the next few hours.
A tornado watch that was in effect for much of Pennsylvania and all of New Jersey on Monday was canceled before it was set to expire at 5 p.m.
Some 24-hour rainfall totals for our region include 1.29 inches in Allentown, 1.26 inches in Lancaster, 1.03 inches in Mount Pocono, 0.87 inches in Reading, 0.59 inches in Trenton and 0.19 inches in Philadelphia.
Dry air will be with us later Monday night into Wednesday, however, a coastal storm may develop off the southeast coast that could affect us later in the week and the early part of the weekend.
Tuesday will be breezy and cooler with much lower dew points. We expect a good amount of sunshine with temperatures topping out in the upper 60s.
